About My Green Mattress
My Green Mattress was founded by Tim Masters, and is a division of Quality Sleep Shop Mattress Factory. Tim Masters is an experienced businessman, master craftsman, and devoted family man. Tim’s now two-year-old daughter inspired him to expand his offerings to include all-natural latex mattresses.
Tim’s daughter Emily was born in October of 2006. Within a couple of months it was apparent that Emily suffered from severe eczema and allergies. Tim and his wife Cindy took Emily to see the best pediatric dermatologists, but also did their own research and found that all-natural products could help alleviate Emily’s symptoms.
Tim realized it was time to offer all-natural mattresses and rushed to put one in his daughter’s crib. Soon after, he developed the 100% all-natural latex mattress known as the Organic Dreams Mattress, and the all-natural Emily Crib Mattress known as the Emily. Latex has many health benefits and makes the perfect mattress choice for most people. Emily is now sleeping on a twin-size, all-natural latex mattress handcrafted by her Dad. She is a happy, healthy little girl that loves to play with her sister Rylee, 5, and her brother Kyle, 1.
20 years ago, Tim began working as an apprentice at a family-owned mattress shop in the Chicago suburbs that was established in 1968. As an apprentice, Tim mastered the art of mattress making. He eventually bought the business and has run it successfully and expanded it over the past 15 years. Tim’s business began building and selling conventional mattresses, but has expanded to sell the highest quality all natural latex mattresses in his retail store and online.
In 2008, Tim founded My Green Mattress. He and his employees at the Quality Sleep Shop factory location handcraft the 100% all-natural latex mattresses and ship them all over the country.

All natural wool and an organic cotton-quilted cover surround some styles of mattresses we offer. Our mattresses come in several styles and levels of firmness to suit your individual preference.
We also offer foundations to support your mattress for years to come. Our customers can choose a foundation that is secured with an all-natural latex adhesive instead of metal fasteners.
